TORFL Exam: what is it for?
TORFL is a Test of Russian as a Foreign Language. It's an official test for learners of Russian as a foreign language compliant with the best European quality standards.
TORFL is similar to other international Language Tests such as DELE, DaF, DELF/DALF, Cambridge Exams, TOEFL, etc.
TORFL is recognized by the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) and complies with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
TORFL certificates do not have an expiry date.
What levels does it certify?
- ELEMENTARNYJ (A1*)
- BAZOVYJ (A2)
- PERVYJ (B1)
- VTOROI (B2)
- TRETIJ (C1)
- CHETVERTYJ (C2)
* levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
When can you hold your exam?
The Centre for Slavic Cultures organises TORFL exams twice a year. The University of Granada Centre of Modern Languages usually accepts applications in Autumn (at the beginning of October) and in Spring (at the beginning of May).
